About Nina

Currently in this world I teach virtually and in person. plus in Spanish and English!
In the past a virtual presence was not of the essence.

The desire for my students and myself to disconnect from the internet as often as possible, but that has shifted for the good.
Nowadays, I teach up to 16 classes per week and a third are online. Grateful to the Universe, for providing the tools we need to stay connected and practice together as Yoga intends, to be one, to yoke or unite. 

Class themes are with the intention to draw students of all abilities and ages. From those living PD and MS (Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis), to those at the gym needing to find balance of body and from their cardio work out and also for kiddos to establish good habits for a lifetime.
As a whole my goal is to bring yoga to all, so they can find the path of lease resistance, relief from aches, pains, anxiety, stress and overwhelm, find a new zest for life, and be inspired. 

 


My education extends beyond my 500 hour certification (Stress Management Center of NV, All About Yoga) as every week I learn from my students, the literature I read online and from my library of books. Also a required Yoga Alliance approved continuing education of 10 hours per year. Recently added 25 hours of Kids and Teens Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga for Life LV.org. 

Every time I teach and see the smiles on the faces of my students I know I'm right where I'm supposed to be in the present moment. Teaching the gift of yoga is a privilege and honor.

What is Yoga and Reiki? 
Yoga means to yoke or unite. An ancient art of movement, breath control, concentration, meditation, awareness of how you
treat others and yourself, withdrawing from the senses and ultimately finding happiness and balance in life.  Practicing a series of poses or postures that include: standing, kneeling, seated, twisting, balancing and inverting the body. This practice can be modified to suit each individuals needs physical and emotional.
Benefits include: building strength, flexibility, stamina and balance while calming the nervous system, releasing anxiety and stress.

Reiki was discovered by Makao Usui in March of 1922. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "hovering hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.  Some clients may feel warmth, tingling or nothing at all. As long as the client is open to receive the energy will travel where needed.

 This workshop will guide you through the building blocks needed to form a habitual ritual that is daily meditation. Learn not only how but, also where, when and why.

Journey of the Chakras

  According to yoga philosophy within one's Astral Body exists the seven Chakras, these relate to different aspects in daily life. This live in person workshop will offer the foundational knowledge as it pertains to mantras, affirmations, philosophy, yoga poses and continued support.
